5 reasons why CDs shouldn’t go away:
1 – classical music works better on CD, especially longer works and contemporary music.
2 – experimental music and works longer than 40 minutes. Plus you can really work those high frequencies!
3 – Hidden tracks: much harder to do on vinyl, and sometimes more frustrating to discover.
4 – Road trips. Satellite radio is too expensive and is still a radio.
5 – John Oswald. ‘Nuff said.

Occurrence the first: Eorl came over last week and brought ‘The Room’ (and “The Room Pie” – you know if you know). It was nice to finally see what everyone has and had been talking about, but it really is not what you might call a good movie. It was an interesting movie, but not a good one. The dude has obviously watched a lot of movies, but Tarantino he ain’t.

Occurrence the second: Mark came by work today and brought some work-related dark chocolate. It’s sitting there, waiting for me. We share the same love for the really bitter, almost baker’s percentage stuff.

Now if only I knew what those Rolex guys thought of all this…
